Richard Foster

CEO

Richard serves as Motion Content Group, CEO and led the initial development and launch of the business in cooperation with GroupM and WPP.

 

Prior to his current role, Richard served as Global CEO for GroupM Entertainment. During his time at GroupM and Motion, Richard has overseen investments into over 300 prime time series and led the expansion of the business into more than 25 global markets.

 

Richard has previously worked across the breadth of the media, entertainment and advertising industries with roles at Omnicom, ITV and Fox Studios. Based in Los Angeles and London, Richard spends his free time trying to be outdoors and heading home to Yorkshire.

Chris Baldwin

Global Finance Director

Chris is responsible for all the financial operations of the business and ensuring compliance and corporate governance. He is a senior member of the global leadership team, overseeing the financial operations of the business in the UK and working with the Motion global team to deliver growth. Chris joined Motion at the beginning of 2016. His previous roles include working for Europe’s leading pan-European broadcaster Sky and their distribution business Sky Vision, acting as a company director, secretary and commercially focused finance executive for UK producer/distributor Parthenon Entertainment, Canadian producer Arcadia Entertainment and UK children’s animation producer Entara. Chris has worked on a number of UK and North American corporate acquisitions, playing a key role in the due diligence phases, deal structuring and negotiation and post transaction integration and management.

 

In his spare time Chris can be found juggling spending time with his family and swimming in lakes, riding bikes or attempting to kick a football around.

Tony Moulsdale

Global Director of Programming

As part of the senior management team, Tony oversees programming across Motion’s global business, helping ensure a cohesive approach across markets to maximise content potential from IP creation, sourcing and development to production. Tony oversees Motion’s international Scripted slate as well as leading Motion’s rapidly developing Canadian content business.

 

Prior to Motion’s launch, Tony was head of Programming for GroupM Entertainment UK where he oversaw more than 200 primetime series including 'Love Island' and 'Ben Fogle: New Lives In The Wild'. He joined GME in 2008 from MediaCom, the UK’s largest media agency where, as Head of Programming, he ran the branded content business. Before that Tony was a freelance Producer and Director working predominantly for the BBC and Channel 4. Tony has yet to find a way to combine his interests in woodwork and cycling. 

Clare Fleming

Global Director of Business Operations

One of Clare’s primary responsibilities is working with the local markets globally to support and ensure content due diligence and effective process for all content deals. Clare acts as a central point of information and support regarding Motion’s production operations, in particular, around production risk. Clare supports the Regional Managing Directors and Global Finance Director to ensure accurate tracking and monitoring of revenues across the region and to strategically diversify Motion’s commercial opportunities to build sustainable growth.

 

With over 6 years in the team, Clare worked first as Production Executive across the GroupM Entertainment slate before becoming Head of Production & Operations in the UK and then EMEA. Previously, as an experienced production manager, Clare worked in multiple genres across children’s and educational television, on BAFTA and RTS award winning programmes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Alison McCann

Global Legal Director

Alison leads Motion’s legal, regulatory and governance activities globally. She provides practical, commercially focused legal support for Motion’s global business, protecting our interests and IP assets globally using a mix of in-house and external counsel. Alison is responsible for shaping and implementing the global legal strategy as well as ensuring the smooth day to day running of a legal department which is involved in negotiating agreements relating to the development, financing, production and distribution of a wide range of Motion content.

 

Before joining Motion in 2016, Alison worked in broadcast compliance for ITV and was acting Head of Legal and Business Affairs for ITV Network’s Entertainment, Factual and Current Affairs commissions. Alison trained as a solicitor at Olswang LLP.

Ali Hill

Global Distribution Director

Ali works closely with the programming and production teams to identify content for Motion investment, co-production and distribution. She is charged with extracting optimal commercial value from Motion’s rights, working collaboratively with the company’s producer and distributor partners.

 

Ali began her career at Avalon before moving into distribution. She spent more than a decade with independent Target Entertainment in a variety of programming focused roles, including Director of Acquisitions, responsible for the drama, comedy, entertainment and factual slates. She was Head of Factual and Factual Entertainment at DRG before joining GroupM Entertainment in 2014.

Ola Mlodzianowska

Global Commercial Manager

Ola manages the global licensing and rights exploitation of Motion’s award-winning slate of IP. Based in London, Ola works closely with Motion’s local teams around the world, as well as with local networks and platforms, production companies and distribution partners, to ensure Motion’s diverse range of formats have the best chance of securing commissions in local markets and reaching global audiences.

 

With over 15 years’ experience in international format distribution Ola joined Motion in 2011 having previously worked at Twentieth Century Fox Television, Sony Pictures Television and 2waytraffic. Ola would love to travel the world with her camera, learn Spanish, or just have a lie-in, but actually spends most of her spare time answering the question ‘why’ for the gazillionth-time.

Bella Osborne

Global Marketing & Communications Executive

Bella looks after Motion’s internal and external business communications. Bella has been instrumental in developing Motion’s online presence as well as its public relations and marketing and communications strategies. As well as being the point person for all PR and marketing, Bella set up and now oversees Motion’s social media accounts. She learnt the many nuances of both Motion’s business and the global television landscape while spending 2 years as Motion's International Coordinator.

 

Bella began her television career with an array of runner, receptionist and production assistant roles, for London's production companies and post houses. She has been with Motion for six years, starting as a team assistant and quickly progressing through several PA roles for the management team.

Chet Fenster

Executive Producer, US

Chet oversees programming initiatives for the US, including the development, production, distribution, and marketing of Motion co-owned formats. Prior to joining, Chet led the content practice at MEC Wavemaker where he helped brands such as AT&T, Citi, Macy’s, and IKEA devise their content strategies and execute fully integrated marketing programs. He was instrumental in their early digital, mobile, and social content ventures.

 

Before joining the WPP family, Chet was a network executive and tv producer. At Cablevision, he was Head of Program Development for the Fuse Network. Prior to that, he was President of Kinetic Pictures, where he produced ESPN’s first movie, “A Season on the Brink”.

 

An architecture buff, Chet spends some of his free time chasing good design—please let him know if there’s something interesting to see.

Simon Jones

Managing Director, EMEA (excl. UK)

Simon is responsible for leading Motion’s local business across the region. In a diverse market the remit ranges from providing strategic investments for programming in Western Europe and the Nordics particularly Germany, Holland, Spain and Sweden to film financing in Turkey and securing distribution deals for feature film and TV drama packages in Central and Eastern Europe. Most recently, Simon has been assisting ITV Studios in the European roll out of Love Island.

 

Prior to relocating back to the U.K. and joining Motion Content Group, Simon was based in Los Angeles and President of the transatlantic production company Znak and Jones. Up until January 2014 Simon was CEO of Talpa Media USA and responsible for John de Mol’s TV assets including The Voice and La Voz Kids. Before Talpa, Simon ran Syco USA’s media operation for Simon Cowell and Sony Music and previously in London was responsible for all of Syco’s commercial TV interests including the global rollout of The X Factor and Got Talent. Simon joined Syco from Fremantle where he found and established Pop Idol and after bringing this to the States as American Idol, was nominated for an Emmy as Executive Producer.

 

In his down time Simon is most likely to be found on a tennis court in Notting Hill.

Steven Murphy

Managing Director, APAC

Steven is responsible for leading Motion’s local businesses across the region. His main focus is growing Motion’s APAC business by launching new markets as well as increasing revenue in existing markets. His ability to develop and use innovative investment models while also identifying strong content and new opportunities has proved an asset for the Group as well as our many partners.

 

Most recently, Steven was the Director of Programming, APAC for GroupM Entertainment and has over 25 years of international industry success. He has an extensive track record in production, sales, acquisitions, and programming as both a distributor and a broadcaster. Steven draws on his wealth of experience from his time as the Director of Programming at the Asian Food Channel as well as the Vice President of Sales for Oasis International.

 

Steven spends his down time developing and brewing excellent beers which, if you visit him in Singapore, he’s happy to share.

Sudip Sanyal

Head of Motion India

Based in Mumbai, Sudip leads Motion Content Group’s business across the diverse and multicultural market of India. His team are creating a real niche for themselves across media platforms in India. This year alone, they’ve led 5 IP properties on various TV platforms, as well as creating the very first, Critics Award on Short Films in the Digital Space.

 

Sudip joined GroupM in 2014 and has worked across premier media platforms in revenue functions and has experience across content creation and regional media consumption patterns across different geographies of India.

 

Sudip is a big travel and food junkie. He swears by Pearl Jam and has a lifelong ambition to meet Roger Federer in the flesh.

Fera Rosihan

Head of Motion Singapore

Fera is the Head of Content and Production for Motion Content Group in Singapore and has been working in the broadcast and media industry since 2007, starting out with a strong focus in film and television production. In 2010, she found herself working at the Asian Food Channel (AFC) where she managed tight budgets, planned, executed and managed successful regional events, digital, video and print campaigns, oversaw a dynamic web and creative team, and managed the relationships of top clients and brands through the production and execution of branded content.

 

Prior to joining Xaxis as Senior Marketing Manager in 2013, Fera spent time in the post-production industry, where she worked with broadcasters such as Discovery, BBC, National Geographic, Nickelodeon, MTV and Channel News Asia to name a few. Following her appointment in 2015 as Country Director for the GroupM Entertainment unit in Indonesia, she supported the Southeast Asia region with key focus in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

 

During her spare time, she runs a humble home bakery and spends most of her weekends cooking up a feast for family and friends.

Arthit Promprasit

Head of Motion Thailand

Based in Bangkok, Arthit leads Motion’s diverse, multi-genre content investments across Thailand’s vibrant platforms and emerging digital players. Arthit works with top talent in the industry from local production to the world’s leading distributors. In his role Arthit is responsible for creating and running a variety of business models and new partnerships that continue to drive Motion’s growth in the market.

Arthit’s career began as an Acquisition role for True Visions where he spent almost a quarter of century, as it grew from being a new Pay TV business to becoming the leading pay TV platform. His strong relationships and deep connections in the industry has led to success in the launching new channels and new business, as well as countless productions and deals. He joined GroupM Entertainment in 2015. He is also a radio broadcaster and is a true music fanatic.

Marta Jiminez

Head of Motion Spain

Marta is in charge of Motion Content Group in Spain, as part of her role she identifies opportunities with production companies, media and key partners. She is also focused on creating opportunities across the Spanish market to generate content opportunities for brands.

 

Previously, Marta has occupied different roles in GroupM including Digital Manager and Head of Innovation & Entertainment.

 

Marta considers herself a communication enthusiast; believing that humans always love and remember stories that engage their emotions, so prefers bold and thrilling storytelling.

Arjan Krook

Head of Motion Netherlands

Arjan is responsible for leading Motion’s local Netherlands business which he started in 2012. Since then Arjan has overseen investments into numerous prime time series. His main focus is to develop new and innovative investment models, while also identifying great content opportunities that benefit our partners, as well as the whole group.

 

Prior to GroupM Entertainment’s launch in the Netherlands, Arjan occupied different roles at MEC Wavemaker. In his last role he was Head of Trading and part of the management team.

 

Through his career Arjan has always been interested in the dynamics of the broadcasting market. Especially the way the different types of content could contribute to the objectives of advertisers and media owners. An interest that he still benefits from in his current role.

 

In his free time Arjan is likely to be found on the tennis court or meeting new cultures while traveling the globe with his family.

Chiara Crocetti

Head of Motion Italy

Based in Milan, Chiara has headed Motion in Italy for over seven years, beginning as Head of Italy and Head of Communications for GroupM Entertainment and becoming Managing Director, when Motion launched in 2017.

 

As well as being fluent in French, English and Italian, Chiara’s areas of expertise are extensive, including: trading content investments and business models; broadcasting agreements, content productions and financing; rights management; partnerships; negotiations and branded entertainment. Chiara previously worked for Mindshare as Head of Entertainment, Content and Sponsorships and prior to that, Head of Communications.
