Susan Calman to uncover more Secret Scotland
Channel 5 extends IWC/Motion Content Group travelogue to six episodes for series two
Comedian Susan Calman is to uncover more hidden corners of Scotland in a second series of her Channel 5 travelogue.
IWC Media and Motion Content Group have secured a recommission of Secret Scotland, which will be extended by one episode to six parts for its second run.
Due to air later this year, the series will feature six new areas covered warm-heartedly by the Scottish comedian.
Calman will continue to discover the big stories and untold tales behind the most beloved spots north of the border in the IWC Media/Motion Content Group offering.
Last season aired to a consolidated 28-day average audience of 1.4m (6.7%) from February, with the opener’s 1.8m (8.2%) still sitting in C5’s top-10 highest-rated episodes of the year so far.
C5 factual commissioning editor Guy Davies re-ordered the series, while the executive producers are Gerard Costello for Banijay-backed IWC and Melanie Darlaston for MCG.
Davies said: “We can’t wait for Susan to bring back her wit, insight, enthusiasm and sense of fun in a second run of this lively travelogue.”
